I give this album a 10/10 because of the fluidity. The album is seamless.
It’s full of love, warmth and a little bit of quirkiness.
On Friday 10th November 2023, the 22 year old music sensation dropped her debut album.
The production for this album feels like an ode to old school garage / Pop and Drum n bass. The features on this album are fantastic. Central Cee, Rema, Ice spice and kelela integrate with ease.
Top tracks so far
1. Feels complete- the sample of kulosa by oxlade really ties the song together. The violin towards the outro takes this track to another level
2. True Romance– I loved the interpolation of mcfly’s classic hit “ Five colours in her hair”. It felt very reminiscent of when I was a kid. This is definitely a lover girl anthem, I can hear this track being played in a Rom Com.
3. Ophelia– The melody is so beautiful and the underwater sounds in the outro showcase what the song is about. the sound effects help create an imagery for ourselves.
4. Feelings– The production for this track is captivating. BNYX does a phenomenal job. Pinkpantheress’ voice sounds so heavenly.
5. Capable of love– Pinkpantheress’ pours her heart out in this track. You feel every emotion in detail.
Watching Pinkpantheress growth has been beautiful to see. She manages to create music so nostalgic and new at the same time. I cannot wait to see her takeover the music industry.
